CYCLES & SUFFRAGETTES
Provo Bicycle Collective
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Join us for a triumphant bike ride around Provo to celebrate the work of women who fought for our right to vote, and have political representation. Each rider will be provided with a large portrait of a historical suffragette that they can proudly display, zip-tied to their bike handlebars throughout the ride. We'll circle back to the bike collective at the end of the ride to share treats and thoughts about modern-day female political participation.

Celebrate the trailblazing women in Utah at this free, hardcore, and fun fitness class! Get ready for interval training with music you love and intense easy to follow fitness choreography. Come in red, white, and blue in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, guaranteeing women’s right to vote. This year also marks the 150th anniversary of Utah’s Seraph Young being the first American woman to vote.
MOMMY & ME ACTIVITY CLASS

Join us for open house style activities for you and your child. We’ll share some fun techniques for teaching your child to read and write words. Registration is for the parent(s) and their children. Join us for a free lecture series featuring some of Provo’s most established influencers, academics, social advocates, philanthropists, and thinkers. You’ll meet women who are changing the face of Provo with their passion and personal and professional projects. Bring your daughters, sisters, mothers, neighbors, and friends! The lecture series will culminate with a Tea Party Luncheon in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment.

MODERN MACRAME CLASS

Macramé is an ancient textile-making craft using knotting rather than weaving or knitting. In this free beginners' workshop taught by Elizabeth Wheatley, you will learn the basic knots of macramé and even get to take home your very own piece! Art supplies will be included. With this new skill, you'll be able to make ornamental and decorative projects at home ranging from necklaces, to plant hangers, and more.
BIKE IN MOVIE: MOMS ON BIKES

Get ready for a screening of the "Motherload", an award-winning crowdsourced documentary about mothers who are choosing cargo bikes over minivans. Cargo bikes are becoming more prevalent across the globe, as families struggle to confront challenging issues of modern-day life. Join us for a viewing of this film and to chat with local champions of cargo-bike motherhood. Popcorn & punch provided!

Celebrate Provo Women’s Day and 100 years of female suffrage by taking it back a century. This after-party will be full of 1920’s themed celebrations fit for your inner Gatsby. Test out your luck at our casino tables. Grab a drink from the live bartenders. Laugh your head off at the live all-female Comedy Sportz show. Make your own flapper headband, try out Virtual Reality, sample fine chocolates and hors d’oeuvres, learn the foxtrot and more!

These influential women will share stories about their careers, challenges and opportunities they’ve faced, and motivating messages.

Provo Girls Summit is teaming up with the Neighborhood Art Center to bring the second Provo Girls Summit Art Show. Girls, ages 8-12, are invited to submit a piece of art that responds to the theme "Signs of Courage." All artwork must be turned in at the Neighborhood Art Center on Wednesday, March 4, Friday, March 6, or Monday, March 11th between the hours of 10am-5pm.

Provo Girls Summit is a career exploration event for girls ages 8-12. We give young girls the chance to meet one-on-one with professional women from a variety of fields—including business, tech, academia, art, science, and more. Our goal is to help Provo girls make new connections, discover new interests, and imagine new possibilities.
