"Welcome to the 5th Annual Provo Women's Day! This event started as an initiative to enhance the visibility of the women of Provo, promote leadership opportunities for women in our community, and provide resources for women to help one another. Our hope is that it will grow into a Provo tradition and become a part of our culture for years to come.
The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment, guaranteeing women’s right to vote. Proudly, it also marks the 150th anniversary of Utah’s Seraph Young being the first American woman to vote.
Our annual Provo Woman’s Day celebrates the accomplishments of women and this year we are celebrating the suffragette heroines upon whose shoulders proud women stand today." - Mayor Michelle Kaufusi
